Hey, Boomers! Here’s a tip for re-directing your Domain Name.
Why not go into your Hosting Account and re-direct it to another site?
There are a number of reasons why you would want to do this…they are.
#1. You may not have a website setup yet, but you could easily re-direct your
domain name to a lead capture page and start collecting leads.
#2. You may be going through information overload and want to take the time
to build your site but perhaps want to re-direct viewers to your blog or other offer.
#3. You may be completely new and don’t know where to start. You have purchased
a domain name and a hosting account and want to get started ASAP by sending targeted
traffic to your newly created landing page. This way you can build a list and then
present your newly created site to them. Gurus do this in order to prepare for a launch.
#4. You may have a domain name that lies dormant in your hosting account. Why not
re-direct it to a landing page with a free offer in order to collect leads.
#5. You may want to re-direct your site to a listing of buyers who purchase domain
names and are willing to pay you for it.
My point is…if you have a domain name that is not being used at the present time,
why not put it to use? You’d be surprised how creative you can be by using that dormant
domain name. Think about the possibilities?? Go ahead and give it a try. Don’t forget
to track your results.
All the best, in your success!

Here are 5 steps required to create and profit from your Facebook page.
Facebook now has over 750 million active users and is the 2nd most visited site in the world after Google. Given these facts, Facebook offers a huge potential to profit and grow your business, and it’s free to create your business page.
A Facebook business page, sometimes called a fan page, is more than just another way to connect with prospects and customers online. Your business page can drive more traffic to your company website, build your e-mail list, announce special offers and promotions, provide value and improve your relationships with your prospects and customers. As business pages are public, you can communicate directly with the people who “like” your page. When a person joins your business page, it is published in their News feed so all their friends can see, giving it a viral quality.
The following outlines five steps required to create and profit from a Facebook business page. This assumes that you already have a Facebook account. If you do not, you’ll need to register – it’s free.
Step 1 – Define your Facebook Page’s Goals and Purpose
Ask yourself, “What do you want to accomplish with your Facebook page?” The ideal is to use your Facebook page to generate revenue and grow your business. Since there are many ways to accomplish that, a better question to ask is, “How do you want to use your Facebook page to grow your business?”
You don’t need to know the answer right now, but it’s important to have a direction and goal before creating your page. Some examples of goals can include traffic generation and building a community of loyal prospects and customers.
Step 2 – Identify and Research Your Audience
Now that you’ve brainstormed your goals, you want to make sure your audience is represented on Facebook before you create your page. Take a few minutes to jot down your target audience. Then spend some time on Facebook making sure they’re present and that your efforts will be profitable. You can do so by checking out groups, or other fan pages, that are relevant to your niche market.
Step 3 – Plan your Facebook Page
Once you know your goals for your page and you’re comfortable that you have an audience, the next step is to plan the look of your Facebook page. You can create a number of tabs, each designed to help you achieve your goals. For example, a Welcome tab is a common choice for any successful Facebook page. You can adjust your settings so that’s the first page anyone sees when they come to your Facebook page. Other tab options include video, e-mail opt-in tab, and reviews.
As you’re planning your Facebook business page, consider what content you can offer that will provide the most value to your prospects and visitors. You can provide content that is relevant to your industry and motivates people to interact and take action.
Step 4 – Create Your Facebook Page
Visit http://www.facebook.com/pages/create.php to create your page, and follow the instructions on setting up your profile. Once you have created your Facebook fan page, you will need to add photos and information in order to make it attractive to users.
Since you’ve already planned your page, adding the tabs you want your page to display should be fairly straightforward.
Step 5 – Maintain your Facebook Page
Your work isn’t done once you’ve launched your page. In order to make it a profitable success, you need to network and connect with relevant people. Share links from your fan page on your profile, and invite friends, prospects and connections to become fans. Promote your Facebook page on your email signature, website and other social networks to which you belong. Integrate your business page into your existing marketing tactics and strategy.
To generate interest in your page, post links, create discussions, publish pictures and content. Finally, analyze your Facebook stats, such as the number of interactions you have had with fans each day or week, the number of comments you had on your posts, and the demographics of your fans. Make sure to compare these statistics with your sales figures, so you can calculate your conversion rates and measure results.
Good luck with your Facebook business page, and go out there and connect with your target audience. Profits will naturally result from your dedicated efforts.
All the best, in your success!

Hey, Boomers!
Here are some personal thoughts regarding the use of social media.
Social media marketing can be an excellent way to connect with your current and potential customers. When used correctly, it can increase brand awareness, create brand loyalty and help you get the attention of new potential customers. However, when used the wrong way, it can end up annoying customers and driving them away. Here’s how to avoid the 5 social media marketing “don’ts” so this doesn’t happen to you.
Don’t post the exact same message to all of your social media outlets.
Some brands post the exact same information on their Facebook pages as they do on their Twitter accounts. If you do this, it means that customers who are following you on both networks are getting duplicate information. This shows your customers that you don’t really care about putting an effort into engaging your social media followers. This will defeat the purpose of even posting on those networks at all and you will be in danger of losing your following.
Don’t ignore the negative feedback you receive.
It’s inevitable that once in a while you’ll get a bad comment on Facebook or someone on Twitter tweeting something rude. It’s no secret that disgruntled customers often turn to social media to express their anger. However, to just delete these comments and act like they never happened is the wrong approach. It’s important to follow up with the customer to resolve the issue. No one wants bad word-of-mouth advertising. Social media gives you a chance to see what people are saying about you and change their opinion of you. If a customer is upset because they came to your restaurant and received what they thought was “bad service,” then invite them to come back free of charge. Whether you decide to publicly address the issue (so others can see how you handle it) or call the individual privately to resolve the conflict is your choice.
Don’t use your social media network only as a sales tool.
One of the biggest social media marketing no-no’s is using your networks only to send a bunch of sales messages daily. Social media networks are a place to connect with and engage your customers, not bore them with generic sales messages. It’s okay to announce a promotion or even a service you provide once in a while, but make sure your more “sales-y” messages are scarce when compared to your interesting and engaging content that customers will enjoy.
Don’t constantly beg your existing fans to help you get more.
Social media marketing isn’t about who has the most followers, it’s about who has the most engaged followers. If all you do is constantly ask your existing fans to help you get more, without providing any incentive or reward, they’ll get bored and unfollow you. They’ll also wonder why the great participation they’re giving you isn’t enough. Don’t make your fans feel underappreciated; that’s a big social media marketing faux pas.
Don’t offer a promotion for “new customers only.”
We’ve all seen this marketing no-no. Although it’s great that you’re using social media to announce a promotion, it’s bad that you’re discluding some of your followers. Many brands offer a promotion only to new customers hoping to rope in some new clients. However, what about your existing clients? What do they get for being loyal to your brand? If they’re following you on Facebook or Twitter, they’re already a step ahead of your other customers. This means you should be giving them extra perks, not making them feel left out of a special discount. Remember to offer specials and inside information to your social network followers as a whole, because they are already a segmented group of your entire customer base.
All the best, in your success!

Hey, Boomers! Have you ever realized the power of a Facebook Like button?
Here are some tips and personal thoughts on The Value of a Facebook Like.
When you think about it, direct sellers truly have a lot of things at their disposal nowadays. They don’t have to be confined to interactions done in person anymore. They can now use the power of social media to their advantage, enabling them to reach their consumers on a whole new level.
Among the many social media platforms available to direct sellers, Facebook remains one of the most powerful tools with over 750 million users in its database, and continues to be the one of the most popular sites for brands to reach out to their audience.
Though the correlation between sales and social media still remains murky, there remain many benefits for brands to use Facebook to their advantage. As a direct seller interested in promoting your personal brand, a Facebook profile or page may not be a necessity, but it can definitely help you in building a better relationship with your customers.
Facebook has this incredible viral effect among its users, and the main reason for this is the Facebook like button. Whenever a user likes a page or post on Facebook, it is broadcast in their newsfeed, and their friends can see what pages they choose to like. This can possibly incur the interest of the user’s friends who may end up visiting your page, and if they like what they see, may begin following you as well.
And it doesn’t stop there. The user’s friends who end up liking your page will end up broadcasting this on their own newsfeeds, effectively reaching their hundreds of friends as well. So you can see the potential and value of what one Facebook like can be.
This is why you can’t just put up a Facebook page and leave it at that. You have to understand how the platform works so you can effectively utilize it in engaging your audience. You want them to like your page, to like your updates and posts, so this activity can be shared with their friends. What you don’t want is a page that is static and bland, that doesn’t really do anything for your personal brand.
So what can you do to get your audience to use the Facebook like button? The answer is actually pretty simple – you need to offer content that is relevant to them, that gives them useful and helpful information that they can apply in their lives. You want to get likes, and you want to encourage discussion, comments and reposts among your audience.
This is why you can’t use Facebook to merely promote your brand – too much self-promotion will make you start losing your followers, as no one wants to interact with someone who’s all me, me, me. The conversation needs to be a two-way street. In addition to getting relevant content out there, you should use your page to really interact with your audience in real-time conversations. Let your audience express their opinions and feedback, and make sure never to ignore any positive or negative comments about your brand.
The true value of a Facebook like is the number of people you can effectively reach by making sure to engage your current audience. Because once these users click the like button, there is the possibility of doubling or even tripling your reach. Though this may not immediately constitute into sales, just the fact that you can potentially engage with more people can result in conversations about a possible sale. And as a direct seller, that’s all you really need – to build relationships and get the conversation going.
Hey, Boomers! Here are some tips to get those creative juices flowing!
Grab a seat with your favorite beverage and enjoy!
Are you finding it difficult to come up with product creation ideas?
No problem..I have 10 product creation tips for you to ponder.
Tip 1:
Look at your own hobbies and interests. Is there something there you could write an e-book or course about. Don’t be put off by the idea that there are already a lot of products on the subject – everyone has their own unique viewpoint on every subject under the sun -your slant may well be a winner with others who share your interest.
Tip 2:
Improve an existing product. We’ve all bought products that didn’t quite come up to our expectations. If you have one of those products, you could use the idea as the basis for a new product. Do some research on the subject and produce your own new product.
Tip 3:
Combine ideas and improve on them. This takes the idea in Tip 2 a step further. Take two or more existing product ideas and combine them into a single new, improved product.
Tip 4:
Solve a problem. In just about every field there are problems. Pick a field that interests you, hang out at related forums and message boards, identify a problem and create a product that solves it.
Tip 5:
Adapt an existing product for a different niche. Products can often be adapted to serve a different niche market. For instance, if you have a course on painting in oils, it would be a fairly simple matter to adapt it to a course on painting in acrylics.
Tip 6:
Combine products into a new package. Grab some related products with Master Resell Rights, combine them into a new package and sell them as a set.
Tip 7:
Use public domain information. Every day Copyrights are expiring on books, movies, plays, songs, photographs, instruction manuals, posters, courses, reports and more. When the Copyright expires on a work it moves into the “public domain”. When this happens you can take it, repackage it and turn it into a product to sell.
Tip 8:
What is the current hot trend? Take note of what trends are hot by watching TV, checking out what the popular topics are in magazines and surfing the internet.
Tip 9:
Private label products. Private label products are products created by someone else which you can brand as your own and sell. On the internet, this generally comes in the form of written content that you can utilize just as if you’d written it yourself.
Tip 10:
Ask your web site visitors and customers. This seems obvious when you think about it, but very few people do it. Ask your web site visitors and customers what kind of products they are interested in by posting a survey questionnaire on your web site and offer a valuable freebie in return for taking the time to answer the questions. You should get a good number of topics come back and from those you can choose one to create a product.
Keep asking the question and you should never run out of product creation ideas.

Here Are Some More Offline Strategies To Help Get Your Site Noticed.
Again, thanks for your excellent feedback regarding the first article that gave you some promotional tips in order to jumpstart your new online business.
Here are some more ideas for you to consider.
Signage. Signage is any kind of visual graphics created to display information to a particular audience. Do you think you could print 30-50, 8 1/2″x11″ colorful pages, paste or staple each one onto the same size piece of construction paper, staple it on a stick and post it on the lawn in your front yard? Why just stop at one, why not 10 or 20. Or, make it look like a flock of websites on your front lawn! This would attract some attention wouldn’t it? All you need is the name of your website and its web address and you’re in business. You could even ask your neighbors or friends to post them on their front yard as well, just to get you started. Ask them to visit your site and post a comment on their blog or “like” you on facebook or “tweet” about your site on twitter. It’s the least they could do for borrowing every tool that you have in your garage over the past five years.
Halloween Treat Ideas! This Halloween, include a sheet of paper in the treat bag addressed to the parents and to thank them for sending their child to your home. Include your name and address as well as your websites name and address and include a special “treat” for them as well to be downloaded when they opt-in to your site. Remember, be creative and if you get about 350 kids at your door like we did last year, you will be following up on some leads, I guarantee it.
$50/$100 Bill Business Cards. I know that I had included business cards in the previous post, but have you seen the business cards that look like a $50 or $100 bills that are folded in half? On the inside of the fold put your business name and website address and a caption such as “If you already have enough money, please pass this card to someone who does not, thank you.” These business cards work like crazy and they will springboard your business promotion to the next level. Just make sure you are ready to handle the wave.
Hockey Tape. You’ve got to be kidding right? No, I’m not. If you are a hockey coach, you would be astounded by the number of little league hockey players as well as their parents who would really appreciate the free gift of promotional hockey tape that you included on their first day of practice. The tape will now have your website and address on it which will be wrapped onto their sticks and skates as well as their street hockey equipment. Remember, don’t be afraid to think outside the box when starting to promote your online business offline.
Stickers. There’s something about stickers that really attract the young and old alike. They are inexpensive to produce and can be given to anyone. I gave a roll of really cool stickers to my son on his first day of school and he was an instant hit with his classmates. Everyone in the class had a sticker on their binder. I’m told that the teacher was also impressed. And guess who sees that sticker when little Johnny sits down with his parents to do his homework? What about giving some rolls of stickers to your doctor or dentist to give out to their patients. I’m sure you could come up with all kinds of ideas for this offline promotional idea. Just make sure it’s tasteful in nature…yes, there are stickers that you can scratch that produce an attractive aroma, but you have to keep your budget in mind, right.
Signature Files. You may not have traffic directed to your website yet, but start adding your website and address to your working signature files included with your email addresses. Also, change or add a signature in your cellphone and include it in your text messages and home phone answering service. I know this is kind of online as well as offline but this is something that you can do right now while you are working your day job. Make sure that it is acceptable in your workplace. Most of this type of promotion is acceptable in the workplace, especially when coordinated with a non-profit fundraising event. My boss was proud to direct his associates to my website and it was also a big part of my resume when applying for another job.
Grab Attention. I had a special tie made with a picture as well as my website and address on it. I think it cost me $25. There wasn’t a conversation that went by without someone asking, “What the heck was on my tie!” What you want to do is grab attention and direct that attention to your website or business. Use this attention to create sincere interest and or mystery so that you will create curious visitors to your site. It’s also a great way to break the ice with someone you have just met and you can carry this through in your conversation.
If you have any offline promotional ideas for attracting visitors to your new online business, please post a comment.
Hey, Boomers! Hope you’re having an excellent day!

Hey, Boomers!
I make a full-time income promoting Affiliate Products! And you can too!
Many people are making great incomes working from home using online affiliate marketing to sell other people’s products. The affiliate is paid a percentage of each sale of the product sold. There are many important considerations when choosing affiliate programs to promote. Which products you choose to promote may depend on your experience level. The guidelines in this article are directed to those who are new to internet marketing.
You will want to determine which types of products you want to promote. In the online world of Internet marketing this is referred to as niche marketing. Niches can be on just about any topic from business, to health and fitness, marketing, family and home, fun and entertainment and the lists goes on and on. There are literally thousands of great niches within each of the broader niches. I recommend choosing a niche that you already have an interest in. It is very difficult to promote a product if you do not have passion about it. It should be something you have a great interest in and that you already know about. You can choose products to promote that you know nothing about but you will need to educate yourself about the products.
Once you have chosen a niche you have an interest in you must choose a product within that niche to promote. The best affiliate products to promote are the ones you have personally tried and found very beneficial to yourself. It is much easier to sell something you yourself are sold on. Your customers will appreciate it so much more if they can hear about your personal experience with the product. Let your customers know what they can expect and how the product will personally benefit them.
In choosing a worthwhile niche and products within that niche you need to do the market research to see if those products are in demand. Google has great tools to help you do your market research. You can use Google’s free keyword tool to assess how many people are looking for the product you want to promote.
Go to google.com/keyword tool. Enter the main keyword that describes the product you want to promote. You will see an approximate search volume for that keyword in the Google search engine for that month. You can see just how many people are searching for that type of product.
You can then go to google.com/trends to see how well that product has been doing over time. With some products you will see a high demand for the product around the time of its launch and then see the trend fall off. Other products will show more of a steady demand for the product. Other products show an upward graph as the demand for this product increases. You should promote products that are increasing in demand or are steady in demand.
There are many good affiliate networks you can choose from to promote affiliate products. Here is a list of the best places to find products to promote. Clickbank.com. oDigger.com. Commissionjunction.com. Linkshare.com. You can go to any of these sites to sign up for a free account and join an affiliate program. You will find an endless supply of products to promote.
Many people including myself make a very good living working from home promoting affiliate products. Remember to choose products you are interested in promoting. Then do your market research to see if there is a demand for these products.
