Hey, Boomers! Try to contribute to other peoples dreams and it will help you launch yours.
I have personally found that the vast majority of people are far more scared of accomplishing their dreams than actually failing to achieve them. Being mediocre is certainly easier and less-risky than the work necessary for success in anything. Despite our potential, ideas, and dreams – we allow our fears and doubts to become traitors and the result is always inaction and regret!
In pursuit of success and accomplishing any dream or goal, most people give the excuses that they don’t have the necessary knowledge, time, or money required to achieve their desire. It is interesting because the only limitations in life are the ones we create, believe, and nourish within our own minds. The reality is that they lack the essential elements and attributes to be successful in anything – desire, faith and belief, a plan and goals, daily action, commitment and determination, learning from failure, and persistence! Truthfully, you do not need money to make money, anyone who is completely committed to their goal will do whatever it takes to gain the necessary knowledge, and it is not the lack of time that is the problem – it is the inability to prioritize and make timefor their goals and dreams.
While others certainly contribute to our personal successes, they certainly do not determine them. There is a huge difference between contributing and determining. We alone determine our potential; others only contribute to it.
It is my personal belief that an individual can become and accomplish anything – IF they truly believe in themselves, overcome their own fears, take a risk, and persist until their goal or dream is realized!

Hey, Boomers! Be courageous and take that first step to living your dreams and go after what you really want in life!!
As children we have big dreams about what we are going to do as adults, about the people we are going to become. Whether it is flying to the moon as an astronaut, saving lives as a firefighter, or winning the World Series with a home run, there is no little voice in our heads telling us we can’t. As we grow up, however, that voice is given life and grows in power as we spend time around various adults. Our parents, teachers, coaches, and other authority figures tell us to stop dreaming; we are told over and over again why we can’t succeed and that we should just give up our “silly dreams”.
Live Without Regrets
The single biggest regret that most people have when looking back on their life is giving up on their dreams. They might have tried their hardest and failed, or they might have given up fairly quickly. Some never even attempted to make their dreams a reality; the common denominator in all of their lives is fear. It could be a fear of failure, a fear of what others might think, or even a fear of success. The fact remains that they all chose to let their fears rule them and gave up on their dreams.
The Definition Of Courage
Many people mistakenly believe that having courage means you feel little or no fear, but nothing could be further from the truth. Courage is not the absence of fear, it is acting in spite of it. Courageous people still feel the fear but do not let it stop them from going after what they want. The number of courageous people in the world today is still unfortunately quite small, as Henry David Thoreau’s famous quote still rings true. “Most men lead lives of quiet desperation and go to the grave with the song still in them.”
What Path Will You Choose?
We all come to a crossroads at certain points in our lives where we have to make important decisions about our future. Reading this right now, you might even be at a crossroads yourself. What path will you choose?
Will you choose to listen to the dream stealers, the people who want you to live the same boring and mediocre lives they do? Will you choose to let your fears win and give up on your dreams? This is the path chosen by many; it is the safe route through life. You will have a somewhat comfortable yet mundane life, with little to no time to do what you really want.
You can be different, though. You can take the path that very few people ever do. Will you choose to be courageous and go after what you really want? Will you choose to ignore the little doubting voice in your head telling you that you can’t, and chase your dreams?
It’s alright if you’re scared. It’s alright if you don’t know exactly how you are going to make your dreams a reality yet. The important thing is taking the first step toward living your dreams. To do that, all you have to do is choose the path of courage.

If you are blogging for personal pleasure or for your business, these three tips will help!
Blogging has made it possible for any individual to publish his/her ideas on the internet easily and freely. For businesses, this marks a truly innovative change in the way that products and services can be promoted to a large audience and at a considerably reduced cost compared with traditional advertising methods. With blogs, average business people can write about what they know and are passionate about, as well as what they can offer to others. When this is done properly and is updated regularly to keep the content fresh, it can be a very powerful marketing tool that naturally draws the customers to your business instead of forcing yourself upon them, as in traditional advertising.
Three Ways That Blogs Improve Your Business Well-crafted blogs can significantly impact your business in 3 distinct ways.
1)Advertising. A good blog containing the right keywords and key phrases can give you higher ranking in the organic search engine result pages, which increases the likelihood that visitors will find you and be interested in your business or products/services.
2)Public Relations. Since a blog offers a more personal touch as an information resource, it may cultivate greater brand reinforcement and more interest and trust in potential customers researching what you have to offer.
3)Direct Subscription. Really Simple Syndication (RSS) capability gives rise to a kind of modern day direct marketing technique that will enable you to be easily found by your prospective customers.
The Value of Blogging on a Regular Basis Blogging can increase the visibility of your business because search engines favor content-rich blogs over websites. Blogs include timely information on various topics, which is an important complement to other marketing tools; however, it must be done on a regular basis to create the necessary interactive dynamic between your prospective customers and you. It is a discipline that you must adhere to in order to get results. If you can’t do it yourself, you should consider paying someone to blog for you based on the things that you want to showcase.
Free Blogs Are Frequently Not the Best Choice For those business people with the interest and inclination to create and maintain their own blogs, a lot more is involved in the whole business-blogging process than one may realize. Some of the issues include the exact brand design, security, ownership, and search optimization needs of the business. It may pay to bring in outside help. When maintaining your blog, there will inevitably be maintenance challenges. If well managed blog solutions, service, and a reduced learning curve are available in a cost-effective manner, it is probably worth a great deal to a business. In truth, there are good free blog technologies available; however, what appears free is never really so.
Due to the availability of WordPress and other open source software, it is possible to set up a very attractive looking blog in a very short time. But what is often overlooked is that creating an effective site involves much more. Getting traffic to your site means nothing if you don’t engage visitors with a compelling story that entices them to click deeper and make a purchase or respond to your other calls to action. It is the combination of good development, superior design, effective SEO, and persuasive writing that will make your blog capture customers and sales in the end.
The Advantages of Customized Blogs We use a customized version of WordPress, which is the number one blogging software. It is user-friendly software that can be easily optimized for search engine indexing. We monitor and deploy core WordPress updates and the most important features coming out of the open source community, carefully evaluating and testing them. You should be less concerned about blog technology than you should be about blog content. Let us worry about the technology.
The best blogs are those that are customized to enhance the special features of your business and increase the power of exposure in search engine results. All of the following must be considered to maximize the effectiveness of your blog:
The customized blog:
Should be an integral part of the business website and have the same look and feel
Should be optimized for search engine optimization (SEO)
Should have the necessary add-ins for either automatic or semi-automatic syndication of the content to the popular social media networks
Should have the necessary add-ins for automatic syndication to blog directories
Should have additional add-ins per customer requirements
The Bottom Line on Business Blogs The true competitive advantage in blogging comes not through a concern with blog technology but rather through a focus on blog content and its syndication and the ways in which it gains attention for your business by posting interesting and enticing blogs, which the main search engines single out.
All in all, blogs are powerful advertising tools when used to their full potential. They increase your advertising visibility for a potentially unlimited number of topic keywords and phrases, while reducing traditional advertising costs.

A positive frame of mind is important for so many reasons. Positive thinking is proven to enhance performance in productivity and quality. We tend to think more creatively and perform better when we are feeling positive and well. When you are on top form, your confidence levels will go through the roof and this can only help you in your work and personal life. If you can sustain yourself with regular challenges and honest self appraisal, the benefits are enormous. Fear induces us to put the brakes on; to stop thinking in a productive way. Fear of poverty, of losing face, of being proved wrong hold us back from taking part in active decision making. As our judgment becomes clouded with negative thinking, we become timid in the face of adversity. Opportunity becomes redefined as an impossible challenge and we end up standing still whilst the rest of the world passes us by. Negative emotions are emotions such as anger, fear, anxiety, jealousy regret, sadness. These emotions are capable of not only having a powerful, unwanted effect on you physically, but also of having a significant impact the way you conduct your life. Negative emotions can ingrain habits of limiting decision making.
One of the benefits of personal development is that it can encourage all the healthy parts of you to grow and the less savory parts to whither on the vine. It can improve our general well being and make us more harmonious inside. All of our emotional processes, attitudes, values, our beliefs and motivations are interconnected.
If life was easy then we would have nothing to be motivated for. That is why by bringing in other challenges and goals – be it learning another language or taking up a new creative hobby – you can develop a highly disciplined mind that will assist you in many other areas of life. Maintaining confidence and motivation is the secret to long term success. However, long term success is achieved from short term goals! What this means is through setting smaller goals and then rewarding yourself for achieving them on a regular basis.
Thinking well is being well. There are only a minority of people who achieve success without having any belief in them self or in what they are doing. Be proud of the positive steps you have decided to take in asserting control over your life
Think well of yourself. Change negative self-talk to positive self-encouragement. Give yourself the same consideration you would give a cherished friend. Learn to become your own cheer leader instead of your own worst critic. Once you have banished these negative thoughts, you should turn your attention towards coming up with an action plan. This plan will form the bedrock of your positive state of mind. You can take this even further by putting reward days into the planner to act as an extra bit of motivation. By breaking your routine down into a series of short term goals you will have more fun and experience a greater sense of accomplishment along the way. Of course this will only work if you are honest and open with yourself. Your journal should never lie otherwise you are only telling lies to yourself and defeating the object of your goal.
Your plan should be customized according to your own personal set of requirements and informed judgment. The effects of this are that you will be proving to yourself that you can take control of your own destiny. With a clear structure in place, you will never lose focus of the task in hand. This will help to avoid the feelings of helplessness and submissiveness that can happen to people who feel like they are not in control of a situation.

Hey, Boomers! Confidence building is something we all need to work on each and every day!
Many people long to be more confident and we all deserve to possess a great self-image and self-worth. When you literally glow with self-confidence, you attract other people to you like a magnet and you instantly appear more attractive to others. Confidence enables you to pursue your goals in life. For this reason, confidence building is a skill we all need to master.
Step One – Learn To Like Yourself
This is a vital part of your confidence. If you do not like yourself you cannot achieve true confidence. You must start to appreciate all the things you like about yourself. At first, you may find it hard to think of things you admire about yourself or think of things that you do well and have a talent for. Most of us have been taught from a very young age that self-appreciation is selfish and arrogant and boastful. We are not talking about any of those “negative” traits here – we are simply referring to developing a healthy appreciation for ourselves, a gratitude for our uniqueness. Sure, there might be things about yourself that you do not like or wish to change, but these should never blind you to truly liking yourself. No one is perfect – as humans we can never expect to be perfect!
Step Two – Choose Your Thoughts With Care
You are what you think about and you and only you control your thoughts – no one else, not your partner, your boss, your parents, your friends. Only you. And because of that it is your task to choose your thoughts carefully. Confidence building requires optimistic thoughts. Now, many pessimistic people view optimism as unrealistic or even childish. Pessimistic and negative thoughts simply make you feel miserable about everything and yet those negative thoughts were chosen and have most likely become a habit. Scientists have calculated that the average adult has around 90,000 thoughts each day, of which 60,000 are repetitive. So it seems we are thinking the same thoughts over and over. Surely it is best to choose positive, optimistic, affirmative thoughts? Get into the habit of using affirmations. These are positive statements that can change your negative thinking habits for the better. The right affirmations, such as “I am a confident person” or “I have the perfect job” can leave you feeling uplifted and yes – confident!
Step Three – Observe Confident People
A great way of confidence building is to observe the actions, habits and words of truly confident people. Let them be your mentors and learn from them. Listen to how they speak and how they behave. Some people are innately confident but there are many more that have made the decision to become confident. Both types are worthwhile mentors.
Step Four – Select Your Influences
None of us can avoid being exposed to outside opinions and influences such as friends, family, politicians, television programmes, the internet and newspapers. But what you can do is to be aware of what influences you and to make choices about the influences you select. Instead of listening to the doom and gloom on the television news each night, decide to read an inspirational biography of someone you admire. Or watch a comedy show instead. Listen to recordings of affirmations and begin to limit the amount of negative messages you hear around you. Remember that pessimism zaps your confidence so limit it as much as possible in your life.
Step Five – Be Wary Of Comparisons
Our competitive society seems to demand that we compare ourselves with others. Often, we are made to feel that we are, in some way, lacking or not good enough. Comparing yourself unfavourably to someone is the quickest way to put a halt to your confidence building. Not only is this comparison a waste of time but it is often damaging. No one has the perfect life; everyone has problems of some sort regardless of whether they have beauty, money or fame. Don’t put other people on pedestals – it is not a position they deserve or ask for. Remind yourself again as to why you like yourself and if you must compare yourself with someone, ensure that it is a person who inspires you, someone who possesses the qualities of confidence that you are building for yourself. Acquiring confidence requires you to break the habit of comparing yourself poorly to others and to start to realise how very lucky and blessed you are in contrast to so many other people in the world.
Confidence building is a process that takes time but if you put the effort in and follow the five steps, you will soon be on your way to acquiring the sort of self-esteem you admire in others. In time, you could also become a mentor to someone who wishes to increase their confidence.

Hey, Boomers! Try these 5 different angles to immediately captivate and involve your readers!
Blog entries not only attract new readers but they also keep them coming back. A popular blog is normally judged to be so by the number of subscribers it has and you can thank the content of the site for that. The blog reader is initially attracted to the site because the theme of the content is something that holds an interest for them. The ability to ’spice up’ the content is what brings them back. Therefore no matter how mundane the ‘chore’ of blog posting may seem to you it is important to maintain a certain ‘appeal’ to retain your readers.
The key here will be to engage the blog reader right away in order to encourage them to read through the entire post. Although your ‘opening’ is somewhat critical to keep the readers’ interest there is still no substitute for quality throughout the body of the content.
Let’s review 5 different ‘angles’ you can approach your blog posting to help immediately captivate or involve your audience. Direct Questions at Them
By directly asking your reader a question you can immediately ‘involve’ them in what it is you are talking about. This method of ‘talking to them’ as opposed to ‘talking at them’ has a stimulating reaction that further encourages their ‘participation’ in your post. Your delivery is on a more personal level which tends to more readily engage the reader. Use a Folksy Comparison
The use of a short story or anecdote to help establish your point tends to engage people more fully in what it is you are saying. When used at the beginning of your post this can be very effective at maintaining their attention throughout the balance of your entry. Paint a Mental Image
Painting an image for your reader helps to draw upon their sense of imagination thereby drawing them deeper into the ‘conversation’ of your post. In essence you are flipping a switch to stimulate them thereby increasing their involvement. Analogies
This approach is widely used and very successful since it has the ability to appeal to many different people on different levels. Analogies are especially effective for making a point that may be otherwise difficult to make. We are creating a ‘common ground’ where it is easier for many to relate to how a particular point may affect them personally. Shock
Nothing gets someone’s attention better then to shock them with facts, statistics, or deductive assumptions. Here we are using an emotion to capture the attention of the reader. The shock value of our delivery has more impact when the reader can relate to what it is being said to them.
Your blog entries are what fuel the growth, strength, and popularity of your blog. Subscribers are initially attracted to the ‘theme’ of the content but often return because of the way in which it was delivered. A popular blog recognizes the need to deliver its content in a way that can captivate the blog reader. By doing so the reader is further compelled to complete the entire entry. By adopting some of the suggestions we reviewed above you will be able to add a little ’sizzle’ to your blog posting. By doing so you will be keeping your readers informed, entertained and most importantly…loyal!

The fact is that people who are getting involved in the make money online industry are more passionate than most and 95% of the time they fail miserably. So the truth is that pure enthusiasm will not be enough to guarantee your success in any online business.
This fact is overlooked mostly because of all of the unscrupulous marketers out there preying upon the emotions of easy riches and do nothing income. Many people who join in an online business or take advantage of some program promising them instant online income, don’t move forward and implement what they bought into primarily because there is no follow up help and support and these people get incredibly confused and frustrated. This is what causes them to quit before they reach the success that they so dream of.
If you are going to have any chance or hope of a serious income from an online program or business, you need personal help from those who are already successful. The concept has been around for centuries and in the old times it was known as apprenticeship. The act of learning from those who know what they’re doing is as plain and simple as it is profound.
For online success to realized, the best advise for anyone is to find a person or group of persons to work with and ask questions to. You will need clarification on most aspects of your marketing and working online, and by having a group to go to will give you the highest chance for you to reach your online income goals. When you think about it, you wouldn’t become a doctor without going to school or working with those that were already doctors would you? Of course not, but why then do people think that they don’t need to learn a thing or try to do everything themselves. The answer, I think, comes from the hype and outright lies being perpetrated online today. It’s unfortunate, however true.
So, the most effective way to make money online is to hook up with people that are already succeeding and are willing to teach you and help you get to the success level you wish to attain. Blog posting serves two very important roles insofar as it is not only expected to attract new site visitors but also keep them continually returning. All popular blogs have one thing in common and that is they keep the blog reader happy with fresh and frequent updates. This may seem like trying to be on the ‘top of your game’ 24/7 but there really is a way to handily keep your blog entries interesting and fresh! Nobody said having a successful blog was easy but it is also not as overwhelming as it may seem.
Here are 5 simple rules to follow to maintain a steady stream of popular posts to your blog. Keep it Short and Sweet
Unless you have got a blockbuster post chock full of so much information that the post needs to be article length or longer keep your post short. Most popular posts are of 300 words or less.
The blog reader by nature is like a hummingbird in that they want to quickly drift in read what you got to say they dart off. By keeping your post short they will be able to accomplish this and you also won’t have to labor over a 500 plus word post.
Learn to say more with fewer words! Supply Content That ‘Serves’
What I mean here is that your content needs to appeal to the reader for some reason or the other. Your content can be of useful information or perhaps something insightful or thought provoking. Even the use of humor is a good idea since everybody ( I hope) enjoys a good laugh!
The point is you always want your reader coming away with something after they have read one of your posts. Visual Aids
The use of pictures or graphics helps to break up the page somewhat allowing eyes a little less strain. Continuous reading of tightly packed words puts a tremendous strain on the eyes.
By ‘inserting’ a picture or possibly even a short video that may help get your point across you are ‘killing two birds with one stone.’ Guest Blogger
If you experience an occasional brain freeze fear not. You can always ‘enlist’ the aid of a guest blogger who will lend a new perspective to your site. This will also be a fresh experience for your readers and we all know they love fresh!
Down the road you can return the favor and fill in at their site. Use Links
If you happen across interesting content on another blog do not be afraid to link to it by referring your readers to the material over there. Your readers will appreciate it as will the site owner of the blog you have referred them to.
In the future that blogger could very well return the favor bringing you a new stream of traffic.
Your blog posting is a key factor in attracting both the new blog reader while maintaining the loyalty of the old ones. Site visitors want content that is of interest to them and they want it often. Most of the popular blogs have realized this and are able to appease their followers with frequent blog entries that serve readers in some way. Whether your posts are thought provoking, useful, humorous, or maybe even shocking it doesn’t matter. You just want to be sure they serve some sort of purpose and that your readers know they won’t have to wait long for a new post. By combining the 5 rules above with just a little effort you should be able to easily maintain a steady flow of content to keep your blog alive and flourishing.

Hey, Boomers! Add personality to your site and make it shine!!
Because there are so many blogs and web sites about blogs on the internet, it can be tough to distinguish your blogging web site from all of the others. Whether you are starting up a new web site aimed at bloggers or whether you are looking to make your existing blogging site more distinctive, the key to building and maintaining a site that will capture the interest and attention of the blogging community is finding your niche. If you can fill a unique need in a way that no other web site does, you’ll be able to build a lasting readership among web surfers. Once you have discovered a niche, you will still have a lot to do, but finding your place in the blogosphere is the place to begin.
Every great blogging web site starts with a great idea, and you can’t build a successful site that will last without one. There are many great sites aimed at today’s bloggers, and competition for the attention of this growing demographic is fierce. To make your blogging web site stand out from the pack, you will need to offer something that no other site is currently offering, or you will need to do the same thing that an already popular site does but in a more impressive or valuable way.
One way to discover an ideal model for your blogging web site is to look at the sites that have successfully captured a blogging audience already to determine if you can appropriate some of their strategies to help realize your vision. Of course, you will also need to add a unique flair to your project in order to stand apart from your competition. Many people agree that the web sites that do the best in today’s market are the sites that have the most personality. The fiercely individual surfers who are bloggers are a demographic that responds especially strongly to personality, so consider how you can give your site a unique and attractive feeling by lending your own voice and sensibility to your site’s design and content.
Once you have a great idea for your site, have pinpointed a special niche that you are well equipped to fill, and have infused the site with personality, the next step is figuring out how to get the word out to bloggers. In the long run, a great idea just isn’t enough to propel your blogging web site to success. You will need to draft a smart and realistic marketing plan in order to draw readers to your site. Once you hook a blogger, your great content will keep them coming back, but it is vital to get that first glance or your site won’t have a chance to shine.
